Yard Care Tips

Keep lawn Mowed  : Grass should be cut at 3 inches during the season. Tall grass can harbor insects and pests such as ticks and mosquitos.

Clean out gutters: Gutters can contain standing water that is a prime breeding area for mosquitos. Periodically check gutters to see if they are clear of water.

Proper Watering:  Try not to over water your lawn and shrubs to avoid creating pools of standing water for mosquitos and other pest to breed. You may need to adjust your sprinkler system several times during the season depending on natural rainfall.

Keep yard cleaned-up: Check to make sure that buckets, wheelbarrows, pails and other items are not collecting water. make sure to keep shrubs trimmed and flower bed weeds are kept at a miniumum. These are also prime breeding grounds for pests.
